I spent the next phase of my career doing every conceivable role in childcare – Educator, Director, fill in Cook, Bus Driver, toilet scrubber … if it needed to be done, I did it.  My Out of School Care career was an education in itself, one where I learned valuable lessons on what worked, why people did things in a certain way, and what didn't work. I saw Educators and Directors were employing the same strategies day after day and accepting the lack of results as status quo for the industry. 

In 2010 I opened Juvenescence Child Development Centre and got to work implementing systems that would -by design - create my vision of a place for children and staff to thrive by providing an environment that nourished creativity, learning, failing forward and high-level skills, both in the classroom and in leadership.

As a wife and mother of 2 teenage girls, owner of 4 locations of Juvenescence Child Development Centre and Child Care by Design Coaching, I know the time, dedication, and joy these different roles bring me, but also how challenging it can be to juggle many demands on your time. That’s one of the reasons I opened Childcare by Design Coaching – to help you and other leaders like you create the systems and boundaries that allow you to thrive in all the roles in your life!
