Danna Ormstrup

Danna currently holds two very exciting roles.  She is the Executive Director of the Foothills Fetal Alcohol Society, a nonprofit society that provides services to rural communities in Southern Alberta, as well as being one of 8 Instructional Coaches in the province of Alberta with the WRaP2 project.   She began her career working with children, youth, and adults with Learning Disabilities continued working with children in a variety of school settings and worked as a manager with a rural agency that places people with developmental challenges in inclusive work and community settings.  Danna and her family are residential support providers to a young man with developmental challenges.

Danna believes that behaviors are often misunderstood and enjoys facilitating experiences that lead to empathy and understanding. She believes that with compassion, understanding, and a creative spirit working and/or living with someone with complicated behaviors can be a beautiful thing!
